November TBR

This TBR is a tiny little bit late, since it's already November 3rd, but I thought I'd still post it. Like other time, this isn't a set TBR, it's more of a guideline, or a reminder of what I want to focus on reading. Let's see which books I picked this month!

October Wrap-up

It's November already! I can barely believe it, even though I don't really mind that the year is going by so quickly. I don't know about you guys, but so far I'm not too fond of 2016. However, I am happy with my reading this year! I have read 55 books so far, and my reading goal was 40!! I read 8 things in October, so let's just jump right in!

Review: Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat

I recently read Captive Prince, which I previously never thought I would read because of its contents. This is one of those novels that gets a trigger warning from almost everyone who has read it. I knew what I was getting myself into. After hearing Whitney (WhittyNovels) talk about the entire trilogy, I felt that it had sparked my interest. Especially the next two books, but obviously, to get to those, I’d have to read that first one. And so I did, and it wasn’t as triggering as I had expected it to be.

#ReadThemAllThon TBR

Hey everyone!

The wonderful Aentee from ReadAtMidnight created an amazing, Pokémon-inspired readathon!
It will be held from Sunday 14th of August till Sunday 4th of September, and of course, I want to join in! Summer TBR

Hey everyone,

I realise I'm a bit late posting this TBR. I mainly realised this because I have already finished two books on this list, and have started another one. This TBR is basically just a little guideline for me, it isn't really a set list of books I have to read. I realise I've been putting more pressure on my reading this year, and it's made it less fun. And I really just want to read for fun and enjoy what I read, at whatever speed I read it at. Reading is a hobby after all.

Bookish Resolutions update #2

Hey everyone,

Just over 3 months ago, I did my first reading update of the year.  By the end of March, I had read about 21 books and I was doing so well on my challenge books. Cut to the end of June. In the mean time, I've had 2 exam weeks (Halfway through April, and the other one was last week.), tons of deadlines and assignments, and I actually haven't been feeling to great. I'd go into that, but I don't think anyone really wants to read about my problems and struggles, so let's just move onto the books, shall we?

March book haul

Hey everyone,

To be honest, I didn't expect to be able to do a book haul this month because I was on a roll with not buying books. But a few days ago, I just really felt like buying a few books I'd been thinking about for a while now. In a way that makes it okay to me because I didn't just buy these on a whim; I'd been thinking about getting these for a while, but I either had some doubts or just wanted to wait. This haul is still pretty small however, I didn't want to buy tons of books because I have 'enough'.

Anyway, let's see which books I got.

Either that, or you enjoy seeing books I haven't read yet and thinking "How can you not have read that yet!" *loud gasp!*. To be fair, I don't know either. Well I do know, I get distracted by other shiny, new books, as I have mentioned before. Of course, if a book is a sequel in a series, I will only add the synopsis for part 1 of that series. No spoilers :)

Be Room Cliff booktag

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd do a booktag today! Certainly, most of you are familiar with the Be Room Cliff booktag. In case you aren't, it goes a little something like this: I'm a girl, so I write down the names of female characters on little pieces of paper, and I put them in a jar. I pick three at random, and have to choose who I'd want to be, who I'd be friends/roommates with, and who I would throw of a cliff and essentially kill.

My Reading Journal

Hey everyone,

Recently, I've been seeing these around more often, and I think they'd be really fun! I'm talking about Reading Journals. Of course, there's GoodReads that very kindly does almost all the work for us, but I like the idea this little personal diary of all the books you've read, are reading and perhaps even the ones you want to read in the future. The best part is that, similarly to the books we love so dearly, it can't crash, it doesn't need time to load, and you can't lose your password to it. I mean, you could obviously lose your Reading Journal altogether, but who would do such a thing! (heavy sarcasm ;))

TBR Shame Saturday #1

I want to start a little series on here. It'll be called TBR Shame Saturday, as you can obviously tell from the title of this blogpost. Not surprisingly, this will be all about my TBR pile. Every single week, I will share a couple of books that are currently on my TBR. I thought it'd be a fun way to remind myself that I really need to read the books that are already on my shelves or that have been out for ages!

The Conquering Kingdoms booktag

Hey everyone,

In December of last year, Frozen Tides, the fourth instalment in the Falling Kingdoms series, was released, and in honour of that Morgan Rhodes created a Falling Kingdoms themed booktag! Now I know I've only read the first book, but I will soon change that. In my January TBR, you can see that I plan to read Rebel Spring this month, so because of that I wanted to do the Conquering Kingdoms booktag!  Of course, I wasn't tagged by anyone (sad face), and I won't tag anyone in particular to do this. I think anyone who wants to get in the mood to read the series, or who just wants to do the tag, should do it!

January TBR

Hey everyone,

Remember how I told you in a previous post that I just want to read whatever I feel like reading? Don't worry, that's still the case. But I also told you then that I still want to make TBRs, just as a ..well.. a guideline. I have a couple of books that I definitely want to read this year because I already own them, and that TBR shelf needs to shrink!

So in today's post, I will show you my TBR for the month of January. It won't be too big because I don't want to put too much pressure on myself. Maybe this way I'll succeed, and end up adding more books to that Read pile! (Here's to hoping!)
Because some books that I want to read are sequels, I will include the synopsis of the first book in that series, instead of the book I'll be reading. I do not want to spoil anything for anyone.
